Workshops
We plan to have workshops geared at greater integration of affordance communities through AfNet in the following months.First Workshop on Affordances: Affordances in Vision for Cognitive Robotics
The first in the series of affordance workshops will be held at the University of California, Berkeley, USA during the Robotics Science and Systems Conference (RSS) on July 13, 2014. This workshop, organized by Karthik Mahesh Varadarajan (TU Wien), Markus Vincze (TU Wien), Trevor Darrell (UC Berkeley) and Juergen Gall (Univ. Bonn) will largely focus on use of affordances in robotics. Details of the workshop can be found here.
Second Workshop on Affordances: Visual Perception of Affordances and Functional Visual Primitives for Scene Analysis
The second in the series of affordance workshops will be held at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ), Zurich, Switzerland during the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) on September 7, 2014. This workshop, organized by Karthik Mahesh Varadarajan (TU Wien), Alireza Fathi (Stanford), Juergen Gall (Univ. Bonn) and Markus Vincze (TU Wien) will focus on affordances as applied to computer vision and machine learning. Details of the workshop can be found here.
